Mark Belec

Mark Belec, Senior Consultant at Amembal & Halladay, is a highly regarded expert in equipment leasing and finance with over 35 years of industry experience. Drawing on his background as a former lessor and more than two decades specializing in Lease Management Systems (LMS), Mark assists clients by leveraging his comprehensive knowledge in operational processes, vendor and dealer programs, portfolio and asset risk management, pricing, tax, and financial products to develop clear, effective business strategies.

Mark's experience is unique, as he has worked with leasing companies and developed both front-office and back-office software applications, and possesses a comprehensive understanding of equipment finance.  Mark has established industry IT conferences in which participants evaluated LMS systems using scripted contracts to verify functionality.  He has delivered presentations on leasing topics at various industry events, including national meetings and conferences covering accounting, pricing, tax, equipment, and IT.

Mark served as the originator of a Predictive Analytics study, regarded as a precursor to Artificial Intelligence, commissioned by the Equipment Leasing & Finance Foundation. He applied legal case law precedents related to lease covenants – specifically maintenance and return provisions – to optimize revenue streams and safeguard assets during distressed credit scenarios or bankruptcy proceedings. His analytical residual value model operates comparably to a periodic table, facilitating residual analysis and attribute comprehension, and is well-suited for integration with Artificial Intelligence and senior management decision-making.

Much of Mark’s consulting services focus on enhancing key performance metrics and elevating customer service standards. Mr. Belec assists clients in adopting a proven, logical framework for requirement building, complemented by comprehensive training and support. He has also contributed to process streamlining initiatives, assisting lessors in accessing critical information to achieve improved full-time equivalent metrics.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and an Associate of Arts in Automobile Technology from McPherson College. He has also completed several legal courses, including Contracts I and II, Property I and II, Torts, and Legal Writing. Additionally, he has successfully completed ASA ME201 through ME204 courses.

Mark endorses the Susan G. Komen Foundation in recognition of the assistance offered to his wife.
